Patent Bulk File Loader

Welcome to the Patent Bulk File Loader project! This repository is part of a series of open-source initiatives launched from patent.dev. The goal of this project is to create a unified tool that simplifies the downloading and processing of bulk patent data files from multiple sources, including the USPTO Open Data Portal (ODP) and the European Patent Office’s Bulk Data Delivery Service (BDDS). This tool aims to assist developers, patent researchers, and analysts in accessing and managing large-scale patent data efficiently.

Project Purpose

Patent data is crucial for innovation, legal research, and market analysis, yet accessing and processing bulk data can be cumbersome. The USPTO’s ODP and the EPO’s BDDS provide extensive patent datasets, but users often face challenges in downloading, organizing, and integrating these files into their workflows. This project seeks to address these challenges by developing a bulk file loader that:

• Supports multiple sources, including USPTO ODP and EPO BDDS.
• Simplifies the process of retrieving and managing large patent data files.
