Love this idea, would be great if it could be used like the energy dashboard “compare data” function, except with the ability to select the periods to compare. |

I'll just note that this is currently possible for the statistics graph card: https://www.home-assistant.io/dashboards/statistics-graph/#energy_date_selection, in case that satisfies any of your usecases. |

What type of request is this?
New dashboard feature
Existing card or feature name
{"Card" => "History graph"}
Describe the enhancement
I'd like to be able to change the date/time period in the history graph, as is possible in the history explorer.
Use cases
I have several dashboards that contain multiple history graphs and show data for the current day (e.g., PV production, electricity import, electricity export, etc., in combination with a PV inverter, or target flow, actual flow, return flow, etc., for an air-source heat pump).
A crucial use case for me is not just looking at the current day, but also analyzing previous days. It would be practical to have an option on the Dashboard to page/browse through days, hours, weeks, etc., similar to what is possible in the
History Explorer.Visual examples
Since a dashboard can contain several related history graphs, it would be useful to have a separate date picker card that can be placed on the dashboard and linked to the history graphs.
This approach would also allow, for example, two pickers to be created so that two time ranges can be compared simultaneously. The history graphs would reference either one picker or the other.
Hint: Adding a date picker to the history graph directly would also improve the situation, but it would not be possible to adjust the time range for several related graphs (which may also have different units) together.
