Custom Script report over custom objects

I'm trying to create a report over custom objects with the help of custom scripts. But I have problems get the device names of a multi-object field linking to multiple devices.

Custom Object: License Assignment -> Field: device (Multiple objects)

I access the custom objects this way:

        lic_assignment_object_type = CustomObjectType.objects.get(name="license_assignment")
        lic_assignments = lic_assignment_object_type.get_model()
        for lic_assignment in lic_assignments.objects.filter():
            self.log_info(f'Device: {str(lic_assignment.device)}')

But I only receive: Device: dcim.Device.None
I can access the other fields the same way.

Perhaps someone with deeper understanding of the netbox object model can help me out here.
