git lfs out of funds

FYI you can host git-lfs on cloudflare r2 much more cheaply. I would be happy to pay for the bucket and set it up if you want.

I downloaded zip of https://github.com/makehumancommunity/makehuman-assets -- seems to include git-lfs files. Extracted zip to ~/Documents/makehuman/v1py3/data and now app seems to work! Leaving issue open so other people can find this solution

That helped me because the Python script didn't work for me at all on Fedora. I found it in my "Documents" directory as well.
