Create git Patches to update your remote blocks

At first I thought "it would be nice to have a way to patch your own remote block for pushing to the repo or by commiting in your local git folder of your blocks" but would take A LOT of work

So I thought how about a way to create .patch files (or copying the content of the patch to the clip to apply in any IDE)

Unlike the removed diff command which is now pnpm dlx jsrepo update --no - it would also contain all other informations of file +- line etc (the usual patch stuff xD) --- maybe that could be also just added to the update --no

I think that would improve the way to you can patch your packages from any project you are in (by saving up some steps^^)

Yeah this is something I had though about.

I was thinking of going a step further and having a PR command where you could do:

jsrepo pr utils/math

One of the biggest challenges that I came across when thinking about this though is how does jsrepo know where the file to be patched is, especially now since we have custom domain based registries.

wow even creating a PR would definitely huge saving time step 😬

yeah with custom domain thats probably not so possible... maybe unless the custom domain registry has a know URL you could push it to?

One project using custom domains is https://reactbits.dev

I am not sure how it would be accomplished there since the files are actually moved. Plus I technically don't know where the jsrepo-manifest.json is in the project.

The pr feature would probably only be possible with git based registries.
